Paddington Art Prize (Closes 3 September 2017)
The Paddington Art Prize is a $25,000 National acquisitive prize, awarded annually for a painting inspired by the Australian landscape.
Northbridge Art Prize (Closes 4 September 2017)
The Northbridge Art Prize is an annual exhibition showcasing the diverse talents of emerging and established artists (both local and interstate). The exhibition is now in its 11th year with over 100 entries displayed each year. There will be exciting art workshops and lectures during the exhibition. All works for sale.
Life Abstracted Online (Closes 6 September 2017)
In its third year, “Life Abstracted” is an important opportunity for Australian artists to explore the abstraction genre. Building on the popularity of the inaugural Life Abstracted competition, Cambridge Studio Gallery is keen to continue supporting an artist by offering a prize that includes participation in a group exhibition to be held in the 2018 calendar.
65 Roses Art Prize (Closes 7 September 2017)
Cystic Fibrosis Queensland’s (CFQ) inaugural Rose Prize aims to be a celebration of our community, art and culture – but most importantly, a way to raise the crucial funds needed to support Queenslanders living with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
Portia Geach Memorial Award (Closes 7 September 2017)
The Award was established by the will of the late Florence Kate Geach in memory of her sister, Portia Geach. The non-acquisitive award of $30,000 is awarded by the Trustee for the entry which is of the highest artistic merit, ‘…for the best portrait painted from life of some man or woman distinguished in Art, Letters, or the Sciences by any female artist resident in Australia during the twelve months preceding the close date for entries.’
The Shirl – National Youth Portrait Prize (Closes 8 September 2017)
The Shirl is a $10,000 acquisitive biannual portrait prize for artists between the ages 16 – 25. There is no other Portrait prize specifically for young and emerging Australian artists. The Shirl is the little sister to the BVRG’s $50,000 Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award.
Sunny Art Centre Pop Up Art Fair (Closes 8 September 2017)
The London Pop Up Art Fair is hosted by Sunny Art Centre in the heart of the city London. This art fair is intended to be a launch pad for the very best young and emerging artists from across the UK and the world.
Hornsby Art Prize (Closes 10 September 2017)
The Hornsby Art Prize is an annual art award and exhibition organised and sponsored by Hornsby Shire Council and delivered in partnership with the Hornsby Art Society. The Hornsby Art Prize is aimed at encouraging the creative talents of people and providing a showcase for their works. The prize is open to artists from across Australia.
Mosman Art Prize (Closes 11 September 2017)
The Mosman Art Prize is an annual, acquisitive award for painting sponsored by Mosman Municipal Council. Established in 1947, the Prize is one of the oldest and most prestigious, local government art awards in Australia. The winning works form an important collection of modern and contemporary art, reflecting developments in Australian art practice over the last half a century.
Chelsea International Photography Competition (Closes 13 September 2017)
There are two competition categories: Amateur and Professional. National and international submissions are welcome. Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Digital, analog, phone images and images taken with any camera are all accepted. The competition is open to images that may investigate any topic, from regional cultures and travel photography to commercial work and photojournalism, though certain restrictions may apply.
Rush Art Competition (Closes 15 September 2017)
Organised by Gympie Regional Gallery, this annual competition features nine sections with over $10,000 prize money.
XI FIP World Polo Championship Art Exhibition Sydney 2017 Prize (Closes 15 September 2017)

Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards (Closes 7 October 2017)
