Join Dr Louise R Mayhew in this 2-day intensive program designed for early-career artists and arts workers. In this program you will connect with peers to collaboratively resolve a creative ‘toolkit’, consisting of a:

  • Artist CV
  • Artist biography
  • Artwork statement/s, and
  • Online presence

In addition to this, Louise will talk you through key networking, pitching and collaboration skills, essential for any contemporary artist.

This all-rounder workshop is perfect for developing new professional content, or critically revising your current documents so you can focus on your main love – creating!

Please bring:

  • Images of your work for sharing with your fellow participants
  • Your current bio, CV and an artist statement – if you have them!
  • Materials for note-taking
  • Lunch or snacks – there are several food establishments within walking distance of the venue if preferred

Additional Information

Hello! My name is Dr Louise R Mayhew. I’m an Australian art historian, an accredited member of the International Association of Art Critics and a Premium Member of NAVA. I am hopelessly in love with contemporary art: I’m equally excited by the clean finishes of pure abstraction and the gritty mess of relational aesthetics. For over a decade, I’ve been helping emerging creatives to navigate the artworld and academia, first as a university lecturer and more recently as an artist mentor and grant consultant. I’m dedicated to helping artists write about their practice and supporting them to meet exciting and viable career goals.
