on display in Cairns
|
The Perspective Exhibition is on display from 8
March to 22 April 2024 at Cairns Court House Gallery
For further exhibition details please visit here.
We will be activating the gallery spaces at each touring
venue through hands-on creative workshops for regional artists and
artsworkers. In the Cairns leg of the tour this approach was reflected
in the presentation at the Cairns Court House Gallery by Rosella
Namok, the highly commended artist for Art for Life Award, of three
artist talks for gallery visitors. In addition, in March and April we
will have a Clever Coptic Bookbinding workshop facilitated by Rose
Rigley, an Artist Talk from Naomi Hobson, the 2023 winner for the
Mervyn Moriarty Landscape Award, and a Cultural Mediation workshop
facilitated by UQ Art Museum.

By Request Program
Highlights
|
|
|
By Request program sent our AI expert facilitator Jessie
Hughes to Townsville to provide a full day workshop for Townsville City
Galleries.
Jessie helped participants discover how fresh
evolution's with AI are intersecting from storytelling, production,
prototyping and artistic processes, as well as how to leverage this
technology within their own workflow.
Participants noted, "Excellent enthusiastic
introduction to all the possibilities of AI. Great presenter." and
had a great time learning with Jessie for the day. "

Here is an amazing image from a recent By Request
program where Michelle LePlastrier attended Brisbane South State
Secondary College for a clay workshop.
we are delighted to share this wonderful quote from the
visual art teacher of Brisbane South State Secondary College:
"The Flying Arts By Request program made the
process of connecting with an artist simple and positive, and provided
my students with relevant, authentic learning experiences. After
completing an online By Request form, Chantel promptly connected us with
a practising artist whose work made direct links to our Visual Arts
unit."
