EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – PUBLIC ART MAINTENANCE
Cultural Asset Services provides management and maintenance services for public art, memorials and functional and decorative artworks in public and open spaces.
CAS is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced public artists, sculptors, installers and curators to participate in ongoing maintenance programs for public artworks in the Brisbane CBD and surrounding areas.
Ideally you will have professional experience in fabricating, installing, curating or managing public art production, outdoor artwork cleaning or restorations, exhibition installation, or similar hands-on experience in the procedures and protocols of handling and caring for public artworks.
Expressions of interest are for Subcontracting positions. You will need to have a registered ABN, current Public Liability Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance (for example Flying Arts Member insurance), a reliable vehicle and appropriate workwear. Work will be invoiced to CAS on an hourly rate plus GST.
Work will be carried out from Dec 2020 – June 2021 on a casual basis and involve hands-on cleaning and inspection of outdoor public artworks and where appropriate, participation in detailed maintenance and/or restoration projects. Because of the nature of work in public spaces and the weather conditions during summer, work often involves early starts.
Equipment, training and all materials for the maintenance program will be provided by CAS.
