This free tour invites young visitors to explore the current Flying Arts exhibition at the Waltzing Matilda Centre, learning gallery etiquette while playing detective to uncover details within the artworks. The tour blends observation, discussion, and creativity, helping students connect gallery experiences to their own sense of place. The tour will be taken by Flying Arts Exhibitions and Programs Manager Alex Grady.
This tour is designed for primary school aged students, 5-15 years old.
The Mervyn Moriarty Landscape Award is a category within the Queensland Regional Art Awards, named in honour of founder Mervyn Moriarty OAM. This exhibition was inaugurated in 2021 as a separate touring exhibition of selected entries.
