In this hands on workshop participants will learn techniques of artwork handling, packing, installing, and demounting exhibitions.

Learn how to prepare your works for exhibition, as well as techniques and logistical tips for transport and installation. This workshop is for beginner and emerging artists looking for practical techniques and advice on their first exhibition, or for arts workers needing a refresher on best practices.

Each participant will see the behind-the-scenes of hanging an exhibition, along with logistical elements including packing, crating and transporting artworks. Individuals will gain an understanding of handling artworks and the various contexts and parties involved when artworks travel.

Eduard Niznik is an experienced installation technician and artist who has worked with various art galleries and museums, including Queensland Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art and the Museum of Brisbane. Eduard holds a Masters Degree in Fine and Studio Arts from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Fine Art from Queensland College of Art, Griffith University. Eduard has exhibited his paintings in many solo and group exhibitions over the last 20 years.
