Plastic Doesn’t Grow on Trees Exhibition. Warwick Art Gallery, Queensland, Australia. 24 May to 29 June 2019. Opening 25 May 10 am I am creating an environment from plastic waste which will be displayed for the first time at Warwick Art Gallery. With its full glass walls on two sides it will be like a giant terrarium into which you enter another world, a unique immersive environment, cut off from reality. It aims to be a playful, engaging environment while still providing food for thought on environmental issues, the importance of recycling and reducing plastic waste. A time laps video of the making of the exhibition and a stop motion video, Bower (about a bower bird collecting plastic waste for his bower) will also be part of the exhibition.
I will be artist in residence at Warwick Art Gallery 1 to 12 April during which the public are invited to help in creating the exhibition, contact Warwick Art Gallery, 07 46610434
