Indigenous Artist Mentorship
Earlier this year Access Arts approached Flying Arts Alliance to coordinate a project to find a mentor for Bert Smallwood, a talented Aboriginal painter. John Armstrong worked with Bert Smallwood for 6 months on a number of professional development areas as well as providing guidance on his artistic practice
Art and Fine Wine Affair – 500 Club fundraiser event
On Wednesday 29th November, Flying Arts Alliance hosted its first Art and fine Wine Affair, as a fundraiser for its 500 Club, a donor circle to assist with special projects.

ARTIZ PUBLIC 2017
Our final young artist program for 2017, ArtizPUBLIC, saw a talented group of 9 young artists from across Queensland and Melbourne create their biggest work yet.

ArtizPUBLIC 2016 was an exciting visual arts development program for Queensland high school students. Over three full days, 27 – 29 September, young artists took part in an inspiring program of contemporary street art styles delivered by experienced arts industry professionals and gained valuable insight into further training, education and career opportunities in the arts.
ArtizDIGITAL 2016
ArtizDIGITAL @TheEdgeQLD 2016 was an exciting visual arts development program for Queensland high school students. In this arts-intensive program delivered at The Edge, State Library of Queensland, students explored new areas of critical artistic practice, learned new skills and experimented with new approaches to art making.
Artiz Programs 2015
In 2015, Flying Arts held two programs for young artists: Artiz@Miles and Artiz@TheEdge. These programs offered great opportunities for young artists who wanted to develop skills and knowledge in visual arts practice and to mix with like minded peers and professional artists.
