The classroom is an increasingly digital space, with students absorbed in online worlds and connected daily to an array of creative imagery.
In this webinar, artist and curator, Nicholas Aloisio-Shearer, will discuss his work investigating the digital conditions of contemporary life. His practice engages with the cultural functions of imaging technologies and examines how networked cultures, memes and video games make use of the history of representation. Nicholas will relate his research to Australian visual art classrooms and propose strategies for embracing the possibilities of these visually rich virtual spaces for your students.
Please bring:
- Questions to discuss with Nicholas about his work (you will have the option to provide these to Flying Arts in advance of the webinar)
- Note-taking materials (recommended)
