Spring Artist Feature: Wild + Parrot

wild + parrot

Formed in 2018 wild +parrot brings together the collaborative works of Brisbane based artists Glen Skien and Michelle Wild.  Within the collision of discarded materials and collage, their small handmade objects evoke a continual desire to retrieve and re-present new narratives in a series of wearable pieces and small objects.  Collectively the response of both artists presents a style and method of storytelling that affords a whimsical and impulsive collection of wearable art pieces.

Handmade Wearable Pins
found objects, stamps, found postcards, discarded books, discarded train tickets, maps, thread, aluminium, stainless steel
