The Macquarie Group Collection has been supporting emerging Australian artists for more than thirty years. The Collection’s annual Emerging Artist Prize and exhibition is usually held in Sydney, offering support to a new generation of Australian visual artists. Artists are invited to enter an original work/s that reflect the Macquarie Group Collection theme, The Land and Its Psyche.
Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Macquarie Group Emerging Artist Prize and Exhibition will be held virtually. In order to support more emerging artists during these challenging times, up to eight artists will be selected for the virtual exhibition. Each of these artists will be awarded $A5000 prize money and a $A1000 art transport voucher from International Art Services. The successful artists will be announced at a virtual event on Wednesday 25 November 2020.
