About the exhibition

Evoking the spirit of celebration, of all things jubilant, artists were invited to respond to the question –how do you celebrate? The result is a uniquely Queensland hyper-local response to the public, or sometimes intimately personal, ways and reasons we choose to celebrate.

The Queensland Regional Art Awards (QRAA) is an annual visual arts prize and exhibition for established and emerging artists living in regional and remote Queensland. The program aims to provide a platform for further professional development. Paint the Town is the exhibition outcome of the 2021 QRAA.

The 2021 QRAA coincides with Flying Arts’ 50th year anniversary, half a century of connecting artists, educators and communities. Learn more

This is a registration-only/ticketed event. Anyone entering the Court House Gallery venue aged 16 years or over must be fully vaccinated, provide proof of vaccination status or evidence of medical contraindication to attend. Please assist our staff and be prepared to show this upon request.
