Creative Consultations with Aven Noah Jr

Spend 45 minutes online with Aven Noah Jr, the Curator of Northsite Contemporary Arts. This online consultation is an opportunity to discuss and receive professional feedback on your artworks and arts practice.

Aven Noah Jr is a proud Komet Tribesman from Mer, or Murray Island in the eastern Torres Strait islands and is the Curator for NorthSite Contemporary Arts in Cairns, Far North Qld.  An alumnus of the National Gallery of Australia’s Indigenous Arts Leadership program (2015), he has over 14 years’ experience in the arts industry and approaches his work with deep understanding, respect, and observance of cultural protocols. Aven was formerly Gallery Officer at Gab Titui Cultural Centre on Thursday Island.  

At NorthSite, he’s worked on exhibitions including Meriba Tonar | Ngoelmudh | Our Way (Torres Strait group show), Andrew Passi Snr: Lamar Kop – Spiritual Centre, Moa Arts Centre: Malu Bardthar Dapar | Sea Land Sky, Nerelle Nicol: See What I See, Mornington Island Art: Legacies Living On, Djabugay Art Centre: Bulurru Dagil-ndu “The people are strong, the spirit is strong, the creator is strong”, Robert Tommy Pau: Torres Strait Enlightenment: 150th Anniversary of Coming of the Light.
